a run along the shady banks of the River Trent, the fastest 10K I’ve ever run + lots of robot making as always + Bluebells strawberry ice cream + a Saturday afternoon nap + a family dinner in the garden under the gazebo + sword fighting with straws + sharing an afternoon picnic in the sunshine at Blenheim Palace + making towers out of giant checkers pieces (draughts for you UK folks – yeah, I’m bilingual…) + delighting in knocking them down + sweating profusely in the heat of the butterfly house and giggling as they narrowly miss our heads + enjoying the cool breeze as we take the train across the Palace grounds + my little man sweetly saying how he loves all of his family
