goodness I think the jump says it all + a child free spa weekend spent on the beaches of Cornwall with girlfriends, fellow mums, all on the same page about just wanting to relax and sleep, and then sleep some more + a walk on the beach of Mawgan Porth exploring the caves and getting a bit wet when the tide came in + laughing about our “near death” experience + having the tension worked out of my muscles (note to self: have massages a lot more often) + sipping raspberry and elderflower mojitos while gazing at the surfers in Watergate bay + sunset over the ocean cornwall1201307_iphone_449i now know this is why I run, why would you go to a gym when you have this? + and it’s free + and it’s the best feeling in the world to get up and go exploring + these moments of solitude with mother nature are precious and make me feel alive + yes, I stop and take photos on a run, because I’m not training for the Olympics and sometimes you’ve just got to stop and appreciate the now and the wonder around you + running along the Southwest Coastal Path is certainly more treacherous than around my neighbourhood + the dramatic coast of Bedruthan Steps + the most amazing set of stairs I’ve ever walked down, following them as far as I dared toward the sea201307_iphone_485 cornmwall2a day spent in Padstow + leisurely peeking in shops + walking around the harbour with my ice cream cone + sitting in a corner table at Rick Stein’s Cafe + salt & pepper prawns steamed to perfection + could not resist the fresh berry roulade in a shop window + lots of reading in the Tranquility Space + finishing two books + Nachos!201307_iphone_502 cornwall3home to the little man + always nice to catch Stonehenge with a drive by + new robots to build + bedtime stories + lots of hugs and kisses201307_iphone_001

I L-O-V-E the street scene! And the idea of a girls getaway, too. And you finished two books!!! That pretty much seals the deal for me 🙂
