One thing I’ve learned is that’s it’s really easy to focus on all the things that are wrong in your life. And the more you focus on the things that are wrong, the worse life seems.
But, there is always at least one good thing, one positive thing to be thankful for, every single day. And if you take a moment at the end of each day to reflect and think about that one good thing, life seems more full. Maybe that one good thing is just what you need to sleep easy, to have sweet dreams, or to wake up the next day with a smile.
Some days my one good thing is something amazing, some days it’s something trivial. What’s important is taking the time to write them down now matter how small. Because when I stop and pay attention to the good things, I remember to be thankful for the abundance in my life. Even if I’ve had a shitty day.
So this week, in this season of thanks, I’m celebrating some of my good things.
