Hello Autumn

The word “autumn” still doesn’t quite roll off my tongue.  It’s much more comfortable to say “fall” when describing the season.  But as the UK recently approved my latest visa application, I’ll guess I’ll be learning to say autumn more often.

But whether it’s autumn or fall, it’s a lovely time of year, possibly my favorite.  It’s marked by falling leaves, gorgeous rich color, crisp air, and pumpkin.  And this year, joy o joy, the Pumpkin Spice Latte has made its way to UK Starbucks.  So I treated myself to one just yesterday.

It’s a decadent treat but it’s like drinking in the season.

Autumn does sound so much nicer. I hadn’t thought of it that way. Yes, it felt good to get out with the camera again. This was my first day out shooting in weeks. I’d missed it.

    Poetically speaking
… Is this ‘the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness’
… Or perhaps more accurately described by Elizabeth Barrett Browning?

What a lovely capture! Yes.. I’ve enjoyed seeing the excitement from friends in the UK over the pumpkin lattes! So glad you have them now. They are definitely a sign of the seasons changing for me.

Thanks Bella. You’re right Starbucks does mark the change of the season. Next up it will be the gingerbread latte and Christmas!
