Gratitude

Being the Big Spoon

I’d be lying if I said that I was thankful for the interrupted sleep patterns characteristic of a parent with young children.  We’ve had our share of really early mornings and restless nights lately.  I need a good solid sleep to feel energized for the day ahead (who doesn’t?) and when I don’t get that, well, I’ve been known to be a bit cranky.

But, I’d also be lying if I said that I didn’t enjoy snuggling in bed with my little man late at night or early in the morning when he just needs a hug and a little love to fall back asleep.  So I am thankful for those moments when he’s snuggled in my arms and when I get to be the big spoon.

I’m joining MICHELLE in Gratitude Week, won’t you?
